Requirements
- A teaching qualification with a focus on Maths and English
- strong subject knowledge and expertise in teaching Functional Skills Maths and English up to Level 2
- experience working with children and young people with behavioral challenges in an educational setting
- resilience, patience, and the ability to establish positive relationships with students
- excellent communication and classroom management skills
- DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one
Responsibility
- deliver engaging and effective Functional Skills Maths and English lessons to students up to Level 2
- you will be working with small groups of up to 6 students, ensuring that each child receives personalized attention and support
- create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement
- develop tailored lesson plans and materials to meet the individual needs of each student
- monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support
- collaborate with colleagues and support staff to address behavioral challenges and promote a safe learning environment
- act as a positive role model for students, demonstrating resilience and empathy in working with those who display behavioral challenges
- maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements
