Requirements
- study towards and achieve the Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship standard
- excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- proactive nature and good initiative with the ability to solve problems
- empathetic attitude with the ability to build excellent rapport with users
- calmness under pressure
- the desire to progress and develop professionally
- good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- an IT Apprentice is not expected to have undergone any formal training or hold qualifications for this role but some informal learning relevant to the role is desirable
Responsibility
- you don’t need to go to university to kickstart your career
- carrying out remote requests within our datacentre for customers
- do you want to be earning whilst you are learning and keeping up to date with the latest technology?
- deployment of new physical, virtual and cloud solutions to customers
- configuring and racking new Juniper and Cisco switches and routers
- racking and deployment of patch panels, networking equipment and servers
- configuration of backups using Veeam, R1Soft and other technologies
- building and upgrading rackmount servers of our own infrastructure and that of customers
