senior infrastructure engineer
Responsibility
- ensure adherence to the ISO controls which govern our client’s IT environment and associated processes
- lead and take technical ownership of the infrastructure function within the IT team
- be a Senior Supplier for IT change projects initiated by the firm’s Transformation department or by Commercial IT
- help to mature/scale-up our existing working processes to meet the future demands of the service and to reduce operational resource overheads whilst embedding best-practice
- working alongside the IT Operations Manager, developing and maturing key ITIL functions such as capacity & performance management, availability management and monitoring & event management
- help to maintain, contribute to and refine our IT backlog; ensuring work-packages are prioritised, defined at a technical level and scheduled via an RFC process for delivery
- work within the ITIL framework and help develop a continual service improvement lifecycle process
- ensure the inviolability of our client’s network and data through embedding security best-practice in to new solutions as well as helping to review existing solutions and suggesting change to improve our security posture
