Responsibility
- prepare and maintain accounting records by verifying, classifying, and computing the financial transactions of business accounts
- reconcile accounts in a timely manner
- verify the accuracy of accounts by examining, analyzing, and determining the nature and amount of discrepancies
- prepare general ledger entries by verifying and reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, receipts, invoices, and other financial documents
- perform other accounting tasks such as recording entries, reconciling bank statements, preparing reports
- assist in month-end closing procedures by verifying entry results by entering data, reconciling bank statements, preparing reports for management review
- provide support to Accounting Department by answering questions about accounting transactions and posting invoices
- assist in preparation of journal entries by making adjustments to account balances to record changes in prices, costs, receipts etc
Requirements
- 2-3 years of accounting experience required
- high School Diploma or equivalent required
- strong understanding of basic accounting practices
- strong attention to detail with strong analytical skills
