Very disappointing experience with Planpix. I paid them directly to photograph my property for marketing purposes. No separate licence agreement, usage restrictions, or terms preventing me from receiving or using the photographs were provided or agreed.

Rather than supplying the photographs to me, Planpix sent them directly to my estate agent. Furthermore, I discovered that one of the principal photographs of the front of my property had been digitally edited to remove my neighbour’s car without my request or approval.

While normal adjustments like exposure or colour correction are fine, removing a real object from a marketing photograph materially alters the appearance of the street scene. I was highly uncomfortable with an altered image being used to market my home to prospective buyers without disclosure.

When my original estate agent was no longer instructed, I contacted Planpix directly to request the photographs I paid for. Despite chasing multiple times over several days, I was promised internal escalation but have still not received my pictures.

The photography itself is not my main complaint. My concerns are the unauthorised manipulation of a principal image, how the files were handled, the lack of communication, and the unnecessary difficulty in obtaining work I personally paid for.

I expect greater transparency over image editing and a much clearer process for supplying completed work to the paying customer.
