  • maintain accurate records of animal health, behaviour, and rehoming progress

  • recruit, train, and supervise kennel staff and volunteers
  • create staff rotas to ensure adequate cover across all shifts

team leader

Responsibility

  • lead and support kennel staff, including rotas, holidays, onboarding, performance management and training compliance
  • oversee operational standards, health & safety compliance, site maintenance and preparation for inspections
  • maintain positive relationships with landlords and neighbours
  • coordinate kennel-related fundraising needs in collaboration with Trustees
  • manage dog-related administration, including behavioural assessments, vet scheduling, medical records and adoptability grading
  • book adopter meet & greets and ensure accurate feedback and records are maintained
  • provide clear, regular updates and reporting to Trustees, escalating risks or concerns appropriately
