Responsibility
- perform administrative tasks on the accounting package such as supplier set up
- manage the period and year end processes on the accounting package, closing and locking periods as required
- monitor email, physical post and process supplier invoices, booking them to the accounting package ensuring they are correctly coded, correctly issued, and matched to supplier details on the accounting system
- daily reconciliation of the bank, chasing down with urgency any missing invoices and receipts
- generate and publish a weekly payment report to the CEO
- the Oxford Artisan Distillery is a ‘grain to glass’ distillery based in Oxford that produces award winning spirit from heritage grains grown sustainably in the Oxford region
- liaise with the management accountants, around month and year end, coordinating to ensure completeness of reported numbers and fielding any questions and queries they may have
- compile and submit the quarterly VAT return
Requirements
- formal book-keeping qualification such as ICB Level 3 Certificate in Book Keeping or AAT Level 3 Certificate in Book Keeping
- substantial book-keeping experience
- experience in use of accounting packages
