Responsibility
- evaluates and acts upon the MRP requirements and Kanban levels for assigned commodities
- generates and adjusts purchase orders and/or shop work orders to support production schedules
- effectively communicates areas of concern to appropriate departments, individuals and/or suppliers
- inputs, maintains, and adjusts records or transactions to ensure system validity
- drive the efficiency of our purchasing processes
- provide support to the Purchasing Team on any re-sourcing activities and on any issues with suppliers
- work in conjunction with QA to drive supplier quality and ensure zero defects from our suppliers
- hold regular supplier review meetings
Requirements
- experience of Procurement activities and processes within a manufacturing or fast paced environment, ideally in electronics
- experience in adhering to purchasing strategies and KPI’s
- preferably have experience and understanding of MRP systems
- be willing to work flexibly to meet the requirements of the post
- the ability to work proactively and on own initiative
