caretaker
Responsibility
- carry out caretaking duties associated with the day-to-day operations of our premises
- support the maintenance and upkeep of our grounds and surrounding areas
- to provide an efficient caretaking service throughout the school, including
- assist in school improvement initiatives and other related projects
- security of all buildings and equipment. Ensuring visitors report to reception
- provide flexibility in responding to additional work requirements and overtime opportunities
- set up furniture for assemblies/annual examinations & raise/replace chairs in dining room to allow floor cleaning
- clearing of paths & drains around buildings, including snow and ice clearance
Requirements
- previous experience in caretaking or a related field is highly desirable
- strong aptitude for maintenance tasks and the ability to handle various duties effectively
- ability to positively communicate at all levels even when under pressure
- excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- reliable, trustworthy, organised and self-disciplined
- flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing work demands
- wants to build good working relationships & provide high levels of service
- enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required
