warehouse worker
Responsibility
- conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure they meet company standards
- handle materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries
- maintain accurate stock levels and assist in inventory management using warehouse management systems
- perform picking and packing of orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- assist with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and labelling of products
- operate forklifts safely to move large items within the warehouse as needed
- carry out heavy lifting tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Requirements
- previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential
- familiarity with quality control processes and materials handling techniques
- ability to operate forklifts; certification is an advantage
- experience with shipping and receiving procedures is beneficial
- proficient in using warehouse management systems for tracking stock levels
- strong mechanical knowledge for basic equipment maintenance is advantageous
- capability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift
- excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
