Responsibility

  • assist Craftsperson’s/Fitters in carrying out duties
  • install, refurbish, maintain, fault investigate/repair and condition monitor
  • adhere to National Grid’s Safety Rules of ‘competent person’, where authorised
  • give early escalation to the Project Leader or Line Manager of variances to the plan
  • proactively communicate with the project leaders or line managers
  • ensure work is in line with assigned standard job times and unit costs
  • enable on track work programmes to maintain target prioritisation as necessary
  • drive safe collaborative working practices and accurate cost capture using outage hubs
