Responsibility
process and submit monthly payrolls
prepare and file annual accounts and corporation tax returns
complete and submit self-assessment tax returns for individuals
prepare and file confirmation statements
provide tax planning services for individuals and companies
client Management: Act as the primary contact for a portfolio of individuals and small-to-medium-sized businesses, maintaining strong client relationships
bookkeeping Oversight: Review work completed by bookkeepers, manage intra-team relationships, and handle non-standard transactions
tax & Compliance: Prepare and submit VAT returns
Requirements
qualifications: ACCA qualified preferred; part-qualified or other relevant qualifications considered
experience: Previous experience in an accountancy practice with strong knowledge of accounting and tax for SMEs
technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of Xero. Experience using Dext, Hubdoc, and BrightPay
communication & Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage a team and maintain client relationships
