Responsibility

  • process new patient registrations, ensuring correct details are recorded
  • process copy record requests and undertake any photocopying
  • process GP to GP transfer tasks ensuring correct information is added to patient record
  • scan all internal paper documents on to the relevant patient’s record and then store the documents in line with surgery procedures
  • summarise new patient records in line with the practice protocol, identifying relevant clinical information, code and record in patient record
  • administer and prepare medical/Insurance/Occupational Health reports
  • file patient records
  • record mammograms onto patient record
