Responsibility
- qualification, validation and/or verification of test methods, equipment, and processes to comply with GMP standards and the pharmacopeia
- supporting and maintaining cleanroom operations, including Environmental Monitoring, sample handling, waste management, cleaning, calibration and servicing
- partaking in quality-related activities where required, including out of specification/trend investigations, incidents, deviations, CAPAs and change controls
- following Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices and adhering to all Health and Safety requirements
- supporting audits by regulatory agencies, clients and QPs
- performing routine testing of samples using various techniques, including but not limited to, microbial quality, sterility, endotoxin, growth promotion and microbial identification
Requirements
- knowledge and experience in identification techniques for bacteria including Gram’s staining, biochemical identification and morphology
- knowledge on the relevant chapters of the British Pharmacopeia / European Pharmacopeia relating to microbiology
- prior experience in Growth Promotion Testing of media
- previous experience in sterility testing by membrane filtration using the closed method
- experience in Bacterial Endotoxin Testing by Gel-Clot methods
- practical experience in pharmaceutical microbiology test methods and aseptic techniques for non-sterility testing including method verification/suitability tests including maintaining records and report writing
- microbiology: 3 years
- demonstratable experience working in an euGMP environment with knowledge on Eudralex Volume 4 - EU Guidelines for Good Manufacturing Practice for Medicinal Products for Human and Veterinary Use
