Responsibility
- lay bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry materials according to specifications and blueprints
- prepare surfaces for masonry work by cleaning and applying bonding agents

- use hand tools and power tools effectively to cut and shape materials as needed
- construct walls, arches, and other structures using bricks or blocks
- repair damaged masonry by removing old materials and replacing them with new bricks or blocks
- collaborate with other construction professionals, such as carpenters and welders, to ensure project completion
- maintain a clean and organised work area while adhering to safety protocols
Requirements
- proven experience in bricklaying and masonry work is essential
- proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools related to masonry tasks
- knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- experience with carpentry skills is advantageous
- familiarity with welding techniques is a plus
- capability to work at heights or on roofs safely when required
- strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
