Responsibility
- manage daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management
- implement and maintain a Warehouse Management System to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- oversee logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials
- develop and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all staff
- lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs
- coordinate with 3PL providers to ensure seamless integration of services
- monitor profit and loss statements related to warehouse operations and identify areas for improvement
- utilise AS400 systems for tracking inventory levels, orders, and shipments
Requirements
- proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role
- strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
- familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and AS400 software
- experience in logistics management, particularly within a 3PL context
- demonstrated ability in continuous improvement methodologies
- understanding of profit and loss management related to warehouse operations
- proficient in using transportation management systems
- forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory
