- to treat and transport emergency and urgent cases

- on occasion, Emergency Medical Technicians will be required, on occasions, to take a clinical lead role when working with junior clinicians
- maintain a high professional image at all times
- to communicate, report and document the patient’s history, condition and treatment to a full range of medical staff
- driving under emergency conditions when appropriate
- attend and convey patients with acute or urgent clinical presentations
- undertake hospital transfers
- to complete all patient and journey documentation associated with an episode of patient care
- to be responsible for patients in your care and those patients under the care of ECAs who may partner with you during a period of operational duty
- responsible for the care, assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients in emergency situations across a broad range of patient groups and settings
- general Servicing - Repair of Vehicle Defects - MOT preparation and repair work - Vehicle six weekly Inspections - Completion of associated paperwork - Diagnostics of basic auto electrical systems preferred
- working as part of a frontline emergency ambulance crew, responding to all categories of 999 calls on behalf of an NHS Ambulance Service
- to determine the appropriate destination for the patient to include the initiation of treatment linked to an agreed and regulated care pathway in cases where transport to hospital is not required
- hours : Full time hours are an average of 40 hours per week, working 10 hour shifts on a 4 days on, 4 days off basis. An option to work 5 days on, 3 days off is available. Part time contracts are available
- to provide a patient focused delivery of care, treatment and safe transport for emergency and non emergency patients in a safe and professional environment, utilising enhanced skills and regulated best practise when required to do so, adhering at all times to the policies and standards inherent within Medicare and EEAST
- to assist in major incidents and when necessary
- complete any documentation required eg Patient Report Forms, Incident Reports, Accident Forms or any other report associated with your duties
Requirements
- emergency Driving Qualification
- full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points
- one of the following ; Future Quals L4 Diploma in Associate Ambulance Practitioner, Qual Safe First Response Emergency Care Level 5. We may accept legacy qualifications
