workshop manager
Responsibility
- supervise and coordinate the activities of workshop staff to ensure efficient workflow
- maintain schematics and documentation related to equipment repairs and assembly processes
- oversee workshop Health & Safety policies and practices
- perform equipment repairs and maintenance as needed, utilising mechanical knowledge effectively
- train and mentor staff on best practices for equipment handling and maintenance
- ensure the workshop is organised, clean, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- maintain up to date records of machinery servicing & repairs
Requirements
- proven experience in a workshop management role or similar position
- strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics
- experience with heavy equipment and plant
- proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
- experience in equipment repair and maintenance
- strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and team leadership
- UK Drivers license
