warehouse supervisor
Responsibility
- supervise a small team of operatives
- operate and manage the Warehouse Management System
- handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organization within the warehouse
- oversee goods-in, putaway, replenishment, pick & pack and loading including adhering to any related processes
- maintain equipment & MHE checks as required to maintain operational efficiency
- assist with daily stock counts
- operate forklifts safely to load and unload materials from lorries or storage areas
- engage in some manual handling tasks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols
Requirements
- proficiency in using ERP/WMS
- people management skills
- skills in materials handling and shipping/receiving processes
- counter balance FLT certified
- strong attention to details in a fast moving environment
- previous experience operating pivot-steer forklifts is a benefit
- working in a Distribution Warehouse: 2 years
- forklift/warehouse: 2 years
