Responsibility
- prepare and cook Asian curries, kebabs, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards
- assist with meal prep, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and of high quality, especially for our signature curries and kebabs
- maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment, including workstations, utensils, and equipment
- follow food safety guidelines for the proper handling and storage of food
- collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service, especially during peak times
- help manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages
- train and guide new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and the preparation of Asian-inspired dishes
Requirements
- previous experience in a culinary or restaurant setting is preferred, with a focus on Asian cuisine
- strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail and quality
- excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- A passion for cooking, especially Asian dishes, and a willingness to expand your culinary skills
- flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
