- manorcourt Homecare are recruiting for a Field Care Supervisor to support our care team in Norwich
- the role will be flexible in line with the needs of the business
- to undertake a maximum of 3 assessments/ reassessment per day ensuring full compliance
- update the internal scheduling system to reflect the correct compliance frequencies
- to ensure that the mental capacity of all service is assessed and recorded in line with the MCA act
- to ensure that the metal capacity of all service is assessed and recorded in line with the MCA act
- A full driving licence and access to your own transport is essential
- to undertake recorded supervision of staff including spot checks
- working through our Harlow branch of Manorcourt Homecare, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing care workers in their daily activities to ensure a consistent quality of service is provided
- attend training courses, as necessary
- working as part of our local team you will be assisting our carers with their daily activities, monitoring performance and undertaking spot checks on a consistent basis
- in addition, the candidate will be required to visit new customers prior to the provision of a homecare package to introduce the company, carry out initial risk assessments and ensure all records and files are in place
- to visit new service users prior to the provision of a home care package, to introduce the company to the service user, carry out initial risk assessment and health and safety check, ensure service user’s medication administration record , care plan and service user home notes file are in place
- to support and mentor all new care staff allocated to your area
- to support and mentor for all new care staff allocated to your area
- you will also be responsible for supporting our service users, undertaking and reviewing care plans and risk assessments, setting up medication charts and liaising with the office team regarding any queries or issues that may arise
- to assist and provide additional support to the local office as and when required including covering calls in emergencies
- due to the nature of the role, there are times where you may need to support in delivering hands on care so a flexible approach to work will be required
- carry out reviews as set out in the care/support plan for the individual and ensure all documentation is printed, filed and ready for auditing purposes
- to take part in daily briefing sessions and team meetings
- to be an integral part of the on-call service rota
- to be an integral part of the on-call rota 1 week per month
- provide care in the community every other weekend
- report and help investigate any identifies shortfalls in care
- to support care staff to ensure best practice is being adhered to daily
Requirements
- essential – experience with Deprivation of Liberty Safeguardings
- previous experience working within an elderly care environment
- previous experience working within homecare or a care background is required
