production manager

Working hours

  • full-time | Permanent

Responsibility

  • preparing food in line with Bakehouse preparation requirements and recipes
  • managing kitchen food production deadlines and quantities
  • contributing to new recipe development and recording
  • managing food stock levels and wastage through careful supervision of food preparation methods
  • preparing daily cooking schedules and implementing ingredient/stock ordering accordingly
  • manage, inspire, develop and motivate the kitchen team

Requirements

  • experience of managing a team in a busy commercial kitchen
  • previous experience of working with a wide range of commodities in the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes
  • excellent organisation and communication skills
  • food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 essential or gained within role
  • A relevant Culinary Skills, Professional Chef or Production Chef qualification at Level 2 or relevant experience
