- lead and manage the residential childcare team to provide high-quality care
- oversee the development and implementation of care plans, risk assessments, and behavioural management plans
- manage stakeholder relationships and engage with the local community
- stay updated on Childcare legislation, Ofsted regulations, and Quality Standards, as well as Children's Homes Regulations 2015
- ensure the home adheres to the standards outlined in its Statement of Purpose
- promote safeguarding and welfare of residents
- utilize extensive experience in managing children with challenging and emotional behavior in a residential care setting
- handle staff recruitment, supervision, and development
Requirements
- QCF Level 3 or Level 4 in Residential Childcare
- experience at Manager/Deputy/Senior RCW level specifically within a residential home for children
- extensive experience in a residential care setting
- thorough knowledge of Childcare legislation, Ofsted regulations, and Quality Standards
- proven ability in budget management and change management
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services in the children and young people’s residential management pathway or equivalent
- ability to work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
