Requirements
- have Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering qualifications – BTEC/C&G/HNC/Degree
- ideally at least 5 years’ practical experience in a similar role
- problem Solving and Continuous Improvement
- excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to remain flexible
- A proactive ‘can do’ attitude and positive approach to complex tasks
- ability to work as an integral team member and work effectively under indirect/no supervision
- ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Responsibility
- trouble shoot, diagnose, and repair equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
- assist in ensuring breakdowns are effectively resolved, in a timely manner and minimise ‘downtime’
- assist with planned preventative maintenance
- assist in scheduled servicing and reactive maintenance as required
- support the team in ensuring the site retains a proactive and safe approach to maintenance and repairs
- understand and operate in accordance with relevant legislation, company policy and procedures
- as part of the Engineering team, you will typically be involved in fault finding and repair, Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks, Reactive maintenance work, and small improvement projects
- contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices within the business
