senior support worker
Responsibility
- you will be required to carry out a range of duties within your role
- to ensure Support Workers deliver all their duties as per their job description
- to ensure best practice in all service delivery across all areas of responsibility
- lead, exemplify and evaluate excellent practice. To ensure a high standard of practice within your staff teams
- responsible for reporting of all incidents, concerns and malpractice to relevant authorities
- to support the RM with accounting for all monies spent on behalf of all children to produce receipts for any expenditure
- to support the RM to ensure weekly safety and maintenance checks are carried out and the correct action taken and documented
- support/Goal plans to be reviewed monthly or sooner and robust risk assessments are in place and again reviewed monthly or sooner
Requirements
- minimum of 2 years’ experience as a residential support worker within a registered children’s home setting
- level 3/4 children and young people workforce diploma
- strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with children, professionals and families
- ability to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs
- understanding of regulatory requirements and ability to ensure compliance
- prior experience in supervising staff members in a children’s home setting
- WORKING IN RESIDENTIAL CHILDRENS HOME: 2 years
