Responsibility
- this rewarding role would suit someone who is very capable, can work without supervision and able to prioritise your workload effectively
- complete regular vehicle servicing on our 4x4 fleet, preparing the fleet for MOTs and rectifying routine damage
- complete regular pre-delivery inspections on our welfare fleet, rectifying faults and damage identified and perform routine maintenance & servicing
- finding the cause of breakdowns using manuals, worksheets and technical drawings
- using computer diagnostic equipment to find faults in complex machinery
- using various hand and power tools, as well as welding gear and electrical testing equipment
- repairing or replacing damaged parts and reassembling and testing the machine
- completing daily log sheets, listing work done and time spent on it
Requirements
- prior experience in maintaining a wide range of 4x4 and plant equipment
- able to work as part of a team, supporting colleagues
- flexible and self-motivated, you will be keen to embrace new training opportunities
- great communication skills – both verbal and written
- focused with a commitment to delivering an excellent service
- effective planning and organisation skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
