Responsibility
- personal care, including nappies and assisting with potty training
- writing up observations in learning profiles and journeys
- creating and maintaining a safe learning environment which supports the learning of all children
- building good relationships with the children and other members of nursery staff
- formulating next steps for children in order to further their development
- planning and delivering age appropriate activities in line with the EYFS
- conducting observations in accordance with the EYFS framework
- planning and delivering activities which encourage children’s learning and development
Requirements
- A relevant childcare qualification for the role
- experience of working in a nursery/private day care setting as a Nursery Nurse
- provide a safe and secure home like environment for the children within your care
- approachable and caring with a passion for working with children as a Nursery Nurse
- good knowledge of OFSTED requirements
- an excellent understanding of safeguarding / knowledge of child protection procedures
- level 3 or above qualification in Childcare
- this position is for a Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner
