  • we work closely together along with our brilliant deputy manager

  • plan, prepare and cook healthy balanced meals for children, considering any special dietary needs according to the rotating meal menu

  • work directly with children; supervising, interacting and teaching during meal times and during cooking activities
  • the nursery is operational Monday – Friday all year round
  • to maintain high standards of personal hygiene and personal appearance in accordance with the company’s hygiene policy
  • little Explorers Hythe are looking for a new member of staff to join our dedicated and expanding team working as a part time Nursery Cook

Requirements

  • A current Level 2/3 Certificate in Food Hygiene is desirable but not essential as training will be provided in necessary
  • experience of meal preparation and cooking in early years or care environment or for own children
  • A relevant childcare qualification is desirable but not essential
  • knowledge and understanding of catering for a variety of dietary needs
  • good organisation and communication skills
