Responsibility
- interpret and follow blueprints to meet project specifications
- consult with clients to determine their design preferences, requirements, and budget
- assist in the design and development of architectural projects
- measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials according to requirements
- create design concepts that align with the client's vision and functional needs
- produce detailed drawings and 3D models using relevant software
- install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, cabinets, stairs, etc
- select suitable colours, materials, furniture, lighting, and accessories for each project
Requirements
- proven experience as a Carpenter & Joiner or similar role
- proven experience as an Interior Designer or similar role in the industry
- preferably a Degree or equivalent qualification in Architecture or related field
- in-depth knowledge of carpentry techniques and woodworking tools
- preferably a Degree in Interior Design or related field
- demonstrated proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc
- ability to read technical documents and drawings
- demonstrated creativity and artistic ability in designing interior spaces
