- supporting with budget preparation

- provision of ad hoc analysis and reports, handling large and complex data sets
- assisting with year end accounting requirements and audit
- posting journals
- supporting the Accounts Assistant with sales and purchase ledger duties as required
- overseeing junior accountants, facilitating their development
- reviewing and enhancing current processes as required

- exposure to year end statutory accounting processes
- being a key player in a variety of upcoming projects
- involvement in various significant projects including an upcoming ERP system implementation
- preparation of weekly KPI reports
- assisting with ongoing process and systems developments
- continual review of existing processes and systems, identifying and implementing improvements
- overseeing the Accounts Assistants and Assistant Accountant, being responsible for their training and development
- provide assistance with sales ledger, purchase ledger and credit control duties as required
Requirements
- the ideal candidate will be CIMA/ACCA qualified or actively studying and committed to qualifying
- the ideal candidate will have relevant exposure within a finance function and ideally be AAT qualified
- the ideal candidate will be actively studying CIMA or ACCA , committed to achieving full qualification

- part qualified with ACCA/ACA/CIMA or have equivalent experience
- the ideal candidate will be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified, or approaching full qualification, however my client is also welcoming applications from candidates who are qualified to this level by experience
- although not essential, part or full CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification is desired and a full study package will be available for the successful candidate if required
- to be considered, you will be already well established in an Accounts Assistant/Assistant Accountant position and be keen to learn and further develop within finance
- with good exposure to month end routine you will be a strong business partner, comfortable in delivering relevant insight and advice to various internal and external stakeholders
- support and training will be provided where required but you must be a forward thinker with the ability to adapt to new processes and systems
