- maintain a preventative maintenance programme in accordance with Company / Client policy
- ensure that all Third-Party personnel including Service Engineers comply with Company and Installation Safety Procedures
- operations and maintenance of main power systems all auxiliary and associated control systems on the unit
- the detection of machinery malfunction, location of faults to prevent or minimize damage
- ensure compliance with all statutory pollution prevention procedures
- plan maintenance and repair tasks to minimise the effect on the drilling operation
- supervise the order, cleanliness and housekeeping at all relevant work sites and around mechanical equipment
- ensure that all equipment under their control complies with statutory requirements and is always maintained in a safe condition or is otherwise completely withdrawn from service, including tools and instruments in their care
