Requirements

  •  Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software, operating systems , and common applications
  •  Familiarity with network technologies, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks
  •  Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively
  •  Strong analytical skills to identify root causes of problems and implement solutions
  •  At least 2 years of experience in an IT support or technician role, preferably in an educational environment
  •  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide effective support to staff and students
  •  Experience in diagnosing and repairing hardware issues and installing, configuring, and troubleshooting software applications
  •  Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Responsibility

  •  Provide first-line technical support to staff and students for hardware, software, and network issues
  •  Perform regular maintenance and updates on computers, servers, and other network devices
  •  Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software applications. Set up new workstations, laptops, and other devices as required
  •  Monitor and maintain the institution’s network infrastructure, including wired and wireless networks
  •  Implement and manage data backup procedures to ensure data integrity and security
  •  Restore data as necessary and ensure compliance with data protection regulations
  •  Provide training and support to staff and students on the use of IT systems and software
  •  Manage the IT helpdesk, logging, prioritizing, and tracking all IT support requests

Education

  •  An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or relevant technical training or certifications
  •  Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices to protect the academy’s digital assets
