Responsibility
- understanding fire strategies
- liaising with residents and clients whilst on-site
- identifying breaches in fire separation, including fire doors and assessing existing fire safety measures
- preparing clear, concise reports outlining findings and recommendations for clients
- keeping abreast of current fire safety regulations and industry best practices
- conducting fire door inspections, compartmentation and other surveys on a mixture of residential apartments, social housing, student accommodation, healthcare and educational premises across London and the Southeast
- the Passive Fire Surveyor will be responsible for conducting detailed surveys of buildings, identifying potential fire risks, and providing expert recommendations to enhance fire safety measures
Requirements
- relevant qualification in fire safety, building surveying, or a related field
- proven experience in fire door and compartmentation surveying or a similar role
- effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- field based role covering the Central and Greater London area with occasional travel to clients further afield
- periodic requirement to travel to head office in Staffordshire
- prepared and happy to work alone/ remote working
- be willing to stay away overnight for jobs which are over 1 ½ hours travel time
- full driver’s license - maximum of 6 penalty points
