practice manager
Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- create and publish a detailed staff rota well in advance of time
- deal in real-time with absences and fluctuating demands for staff at our two sites
- send, request and pay invoices promptly in co-ordination with the practice owner and accountants
- work with our accountants to collate invoices for quarterly VAT returns and annual tax returns well in advance of deadlines
- build and maintain close working relationships with a huge range of suppliers from pharmaceutical manufacturers to waste disposal firms
- work alongside the practice owner and Head Nurse to run the practice smoothly, efficiently and to the highest standards of patient and customer care
- work with external payroll providers to calculate and pay a monthly payroll
- co-ordinate and carry out staff training in SOPs, health and safety and inductions
Requirements
- experience in the Veterinary industry an advantage
- strong IT skills with a natural aptitude for learning and using software
- highly organised and able to work to deadlines
- able to prioritise tasks and manage your own diary
- superb people skills with an ability to lead by example
- experience in a management position managing a team of at least 10+, finance, client service and project development
