Responsibility

  • develop and implement strategies for resolving tax disputes and address tax risks
  • undertake technical research on a variety of areas of tax law and practice and report conclusions
  • prepare work plans and effectively manage client case files using our bespoke in-house document management system
  • record time worked on our time recording system to ensure accurate billing on client accounts
  • provide exceptional levels of client service
  • liaise with clients, other professional advisers and HMRC as required
  • keep up to date with developments in tax for private clients and private businesses

Requirements

  • CTA or equivalent
  • at least 5 years’ experience as a Tax Consultant, with a focus on private clients and private businesses
  • interest in developing expertise in tax dispute resolution
  • understanding of non-UK trusts and offshore taxation
  • familiarity with Inheritance Tax returns and reporting
  • ability to work independently as well as building strong working relationships with clients, other professional advisers, and other members of the team
