- adjustment of dressing equipment to maintain good quality product

- responding to breakdowns across the site in a timely manner ensuring minimum disruption to productivity
- carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work, responding to equipment faults and failures

- provide technical expertise for maintenance of plant equipment which are whilst carrying out reactive and PPM using electrical, control system and mechanical engineering skill set
- diagnosing faults and making recommendations for plant improvement in terms of safety and productivity
- key Responsibilities
- the Engineering Technician is primarily responsible for delivering Preventative, Corrective and Reactive support to the operations team across all aspects of the site assets and infrastructure and to ensure the reliability and efficiency of manufacturing machinery
- planned maintenance, replacement, repair of mechanical/electrical parts including Pneumatic & Hydraulic systems
- controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment
- adjustment of the preparation equipment for the raw materials to maintain good quality product supply

- reporting to the Plant Manager you will be highly reactive to meeting the day to day maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and servicing of production filling and packing machinery
- ensuring plant, equipment and facilities meet compliance with Health and Safety legislation
- ensure compliance to cleaning and inspection of all areas
- essentially you will maintain all plant equipment to maximise available production activities whilst ensuring a safe working environment in line with the company Health and Safety procedures
- cover call out as per Rota for machine breakdowns

Requirements

- experienced within a fast pace FMCG company ideally with filling, sealing and packaging machinery

- hands on electrical skills from basic assembly to total preventative maintenance
- you should hold a time served City in Guilds Apprenticeship or HNC in Engineering. Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance
