Responsibility
- maintain, drive and embed a sustainable LEAN /continuous improvement culture by communicating, training, supporting and coaching of employees across all departments
- using LEAN tools to support the delivery of the organisation’s strategic objectives
- lead continuous improvement projects to effectively deliver improvements to increase productivity, reduce costs and eliminate waste
- ensure compliance with Standard Operating Processes and the Quality Management System by coaching and reinforcement of the importance of always delivering a quality product
- ensuring that health and safety of operatives is always maintained and that the working practices of the team comply with HS&E policies
Requirements
- organised and able to lead/facilitate C.I. events including training of colleagues
- sound knowledge and practical application of Health and Safety legislation and policies / procedures
- A HNC level or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic engineering would be desirable
- good IT skills
- A proven track record of successfully implementing LEAN or working as part of a continuous improvement team within a manufacturing environment
- the ability to identify opportunities for improvement, developing a project plan for implementing improvements and monitoring the new process to ensure it works as intended
