Responsibility
- deliver workshops, group activities, and discussions centred around life skills, employability, and social action
- facilitate youth led informal learning which empowers participants to develop essential life skills, including communication, teamwork, problem solving and resilience, with a focus on building their confidence and self-esteem
- offer information on career exploration, CV building, Job searching, interviews preparation, and other employability skills, equipping young people for future success in the job market
- maintain a good understanding of the local area, including networking with local organisations, business, and community contacts in your area
- ensure that youth work activities are safe, and all young people are treated with respect, where differences are valued and acceptance and understanding of others is promoted
- work directly with groups to facilitate personal, social, education and political development, which addresses their needs and supports them to develop the skills and confidence to make decisions and act on issues that affect their own lives, the lives of others, their communities and society
- adhere to Health, Safety and Safeguarding guidelines and ensure these are prioritised as part of the planning and delivery of sessions
- organise and/or participate in community-based projects which provide young people with avenues to express themselves, raise concerns and discuss their aspirations within the local community and take meaningful actions to address them
