Responsibility
- the School are seeking a creative and hard working Facilities Operative Apprentice supporting the smooth running of the facilities
- the role includes providing customer service to internal and external customers to ensure the effective delivery of a range of facilities services and support the delivery of facilities services projects
- maintaining the buildings including: performing repairs, minor building/decoration work, managing contracting maintenance services as needed
- completing work from the fault logbook kept on site, performing daily litter picking duties and maintaining external bins, moving furniture, setting up classrooms and other areas of the school as required
- support the delivery of the responsibilities of the Facilities Services function in complying with health and safety and other legislation and organizational policies and procedures
- total hours per week: 30
- address Facilities related Risks, hazards and threats to people, property and premises
- any other adhoc task required within the role
Requirements
- attention to detail, follow basic instructions well
- strong work ethic, punctual manner
- hand on skills able to use tools
- can use own initiative to resolve issues when management is unable to assist
- knows basic hazards to look out for and how to minimise risks
- confident attitude towards all daily responsibilities
- works well within a team environment, you will work alongside other members of staff, so this is very important
- cautious and vigilant
