Responsibility
- good experience in an automotive EDS/harness design & development environment
- contribute to delivering end-to-end feature and system-level documentation for EV and Charging features
- knowledge of automotive electrical systems and components is a must
- design and develop electrical distribution systems in both 2D and 3D environments
- author feature and system-level requirements to satisfy the different customer use cases for a feature
- create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness layouts
- cascade requirements to the sub-system engineer and make sure of the full traceability
- preparation of wiring diagrams from vehicle architecture, system diagrams and component device transmittals using appropriate design tools
Requirements
- experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment for Charging systems or HV systems preferably in the Automotive Sector
- proven experience in designing electrical distribution systems for automotive or motorsport applications
- experience in Requirements Engineering & Management
- experience in the harness design & development of Electric & hybrid vehicle
- hands on experience in requirements/system engineering tools like IBM Rational DOORS, Rhapsody, Dassault Systems TRM, Jama, PTC Integrity etc
- proficiency in both 2D and 3D CAD software
- relevant experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance
- strong understanding of electrical circuits, wiring, and harness design
