Responsibility
maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software
reconcile all bank statements/transactions
prepare monthly management accounts and articulate key information/trends clearly
assist with budgeting and forecasting - based on past and present data
preparing the VAT return for the business
run payroll for the organisation
assist with year-end tax preparation. Ready to hand off to third-party accountancy firm
process accounts payable and ensure timely payment of invoices to suppliers, questioning anomalies across delivery notes and invoices, agency hour tracking and invoices etc
Requirements
minimum Level 3 AAT Qualification
proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
proficiency in using Xero accountancy software
strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with experience producing monthly management accounts
