bookkeeper
Responsibility
- maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software
- reconcile all bank statements/transactions
- prepare monthly management accounts and articulate key information/trends clearly
- assist with budgeting and forecasting - based on past and present data
- preparing the VAT return for the business
- run payroll for the organisation
- assist with year-end tax preparation. Ready to hand off to third-party accountancy firm
- process accounts payable and ensure timely payment of invoices to suppliers, questioning anomalies across delivery notes and invoices, agency hour tracking and invoices etc
Requirements
- minimum Level 3 AAT Qualification
- proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
- proficiency in using Xero accountancy software
- strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with experience producing monthly management accounts
- excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- bookkeeping: 2 years
