manufacturing engineer
Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- interpret engineering drawings to identify current and new processes required for efficient manufacture of products to customer specifications
- creation of CNC programs for new and existing products using CADCAM software packages and ISO code writing
- design of jigs, fixtures and tooling for efficient manufacture of components
- interface with the sales and production departments to ensure projects are completed to achieve customer satisfaction and on time delivery
- ensure products are manufactured in accordance with all relevant industry standards and Customer requirements
- job Types: Full-time, Permanent
- using customer and internal CAD data to create Bill of Material, production routing, finishing and packaging requirements. Accurately enter this data onto the ERP system
- collaborate with the quality department in response to any customer concerns, follow the 8D process of containment and implementation of corrective and preventative actions
Requirements
- previous experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role
- experience of CNC Machining extruded aluminium products
- bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related subject is desirable
- excellent CNC programming and CADCAM skills
- excellent 3D CAD skills
- good level of MS office and IT competence
- organised and structured way of working
- excellent interpersonal skills
