- develop and maintain the company's health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring they are compliant with all relevant legislation and regulations
- creating construction phase plans and client liaison
- creating risk assessments, method statements, safety audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them
- advise management on safety matters, including the implementation of safety initiatives, safety management systems, and safety performance indicators
- provide safety training to employees, ensuring that they are aware of safety policies and procedures, and comply with them
- investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare reports with recommendations for corrective action
- liaise with regulatory & audit accreditation bodies, ensuring that the company remains compliant with all relevant safety legislation and regulations
- attend safety meetings and conferences to stay abreast of industry developments and best practices
