- you will ensure the fleet is maintained and operated at the highest standard, with full compliance to all regulatory requirements
- assist our planning department in planning and re-scheduling for short notice changes and response
- accident and Incident investigation, CCTV, insurance accident forms and assisting in the disciplinary processes
- driver training, auditing, and monitoring of daily walk around checks
- performance management, absence management
- ensure KPIs are maintained, and actions put in place to improve where necessary
- you will be responsible for the vehicles and driver compliance to Health and Safety, regulations, Working Time Directive, and all aspects of road transport law
- liaison with internal department and external third parties
Requirements
- in depth knowledge of the Goods Vehicle Act 1995
- demonstrable experience of managing a vehicle fleet
- experience with vehicle technologies, e.g., Automatic Vehicle Recognition
- ability to demonstrate influential communication
- hold recent Certificate of Professional competence in National Road Haulage Operations
- analysing and solving logistic problems
- HGV and ADR experience
- positive attitude, pro-active, strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure
