Working hours

  • full-time

Responsibility

  • we require a Deputy Manager to oversee the daily running of the new Children's home Service in the Southport area
  • the ability to participate in on-call rotas and take out-of-hours calls is a requirement, as is a Full UK Driving License
  • sleep in duties are paid at £60 per night
  • note this is a working Deputy role and will require you to be on shift with a sleep-in duty
  • knowledge of Ofsted is essential and 3 years of experience working with Children or Young People within a residential environment including 2 years at a senior level
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Services and experience in supervising staff, attending formal meetings and preparing formal reports is also essential

  • devising staff rota's and managing staff cover when needed

residential support worker

  • full-time

Requirements

  • experience in dealing with challenging behaviour or previous experience working with children and young people desired but not essential
  • level 3 diploma is advantageous, yet we provide full training for the right candidate
  • UK valid driving license also advantageous, but not essential

  • QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare / Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People’s Workforce
  • experience at the Manager / Deputy level, specifically within a residential home for children

  • experience previously working within Ofsted Regulated Residential Children’s Home’s is essential for this post
  • experience of previously working within Ofsted Regulated Residential Children’s Home’s is essential for this post
  • this is an opportunity to lead and manage a fantastic home, finished to the highest quality, within the Southport area
  • level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services in the children and young people’s residential management pathway
  • experience previously working within Ofsted Regulated Residential Children’s Home’s is essential for this post. Or a deputy manager looking for a new challenge
