Requirements

  • qualified Accounting Technician OR Qualified Bookkeeper OR Qualified by Experience
  • previous accounts experience in industry or practice
  • previous experience using Sage and/or Xero
  • payroll Experience
  • knowledge of Auto-enrolment requirements
  • ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • knowledge of VAT Return preparation
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibility

  • maintain clients bookkeeping using accounting software – mainly Sage and Xero
  • preparation of weekly and monthly payroll for clients, whilst ensuring compliance with RTI and Auto-enrolment
  • preparation of VAT returns for clients using accounting software to comply with MTD requirements
  • assistance with the preparation of annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and companies
