Responsibility

  • managing all aspect of the sales process from identifying sales leads to implementing new customer contracts
  • generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and lead generation
  • develop and nurture new business opportunities within the SME segment
  • working with the existing management structure to develop a sales & marketing strategy for the European road business
  • develop and maintain relationships with existing clients to increase revenue and customer loyalty
  • undertaking appropriate marketing activity to support the sales strategy
  • analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities
  • conduct market research to identify potential customers and industry trends

Education

  • bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field is preferred
  • previous experience in managing and negotiating complex sales contracts and agreements
  • familiarity with CRM software and sales reporting tools
  • proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the freight industry

Requirements

  • proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management within the freight industry
  • proven experience in freight sales or business development within the logistics industry
  • deep understanding of the ocean freight market, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • A strong track record in generating new business and achieving sales targets
  • strong network of contacts within the shipping lines, freight forwarders, importers, exporters, and other relevant industry stakeholders
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • proven track record in business-to-business sales, with experience in face-to-face interactions
  • excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships effectively
