- main Responsibilities
- deliver year end accounts to residents in a timely fashion

- my client is a firm of Chartered Surveyors offering a wide range of property services. They are on the search for a qualified accountant/Part qualified/QBE to head up the financial reporting side for their Build to Rent and PRS client portfolio
- payment runs
- dealing with telephone and email queries relating to service charge demands/statements and handling difficult situations
- review and recommend any prepayments and accruals at Service Charge Year End Reconciliation
- lease assignments, tenancy terminations and creating new tenancies
- credit control procedure and measures to ensure standing order payment plans/demands/accounts are on track. Management of cases with external recovery measures
- all reporting requires an advanced knowledge of Excel, i.e
- check invoice descriptions where these are not clear and make amendments where applicable
- rent apportions /new rent registration
- liaise effectively with external accountants to deliver a smooth audit process and provide the best possible outcome for our customers and our clients
- creating template reports using advanced excel formulas beyond the usual pivot tables and VLOOKUP functionality
- confirm with the Property Manager on tenant apportionment percentages and make changes to the database where applicable
- deposit returns
- preparation of quarterly and annual accounts for external auditors, and liaising with the auditors and providing additional information and explanations as required
- liaising with surveyors and clients over the preparation of cash flows and budgets and reconciliation thereof
- working alongside Property Managers setting Service Charge Budgets, administering year end accounts and recording all incoming/outgoing transactions relating to estates under management
