housekeeping supervisor
Responsibility
- supervise housekeeping staff, including cleaners and laundry attendants, to ensure all rooms are cleaned to the highest standards
- operations are focused exclusively on short and medium stay apartments
- inspect rooms, bathrooms, and public areas for cleanliness, order, and proper maintenance, taking corrective actions as necessary
- develop and coordinate cleaning schedules based on facility needs and occupancy levels
- train new staff members on cleaning procedures, the use of cleaning chemicals, and safety protocols
- manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; place orders as necessary while controlling expenses
- ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety drills and meetings with staff
- handle guest complaints regarding housekeeping service or room satisfaction, ensuring immediate corrective action
Requirements
- proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar managerial role in the hospitality industry
- excellent organizational and team management skills
- strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff, guests, and other departments
- knowledge of cleaning techniques and operation of housekeeping equipment
- certification in hotel management or housekeeping
- familiarity with health and safety standards and chemicals used in cleaning and sanitation
- experience with eco-friendly cleaning practices and products
- ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required
