Hey, I need to clarify one point. Is it a one man company or are there more people? If the latter, has the company not taken responsibility for its employee?

Have you signed any contract? What about insurance? Such a person should have his job insured
Insurance is pointless when the company closes and then sets up again under a different name. Also impossible when calls/emails are not acknowledged. Small claims court is an option but again if a company has closed then financial recourse is unlikely.
Okay, closing and opening under a new name has not been mentioned before. But it seems to me that if it is as you say, it is easy to prove - one company is closing down, but in a moment there is a new one under the same owner? come on..
